With a field of 10,080 panels to string together, a crew of about 30 people are on site, hooking up roughly 800 panels each day. When they go live in December, the electricity they generate will be enough to power about 600 homes — Christmas tree lights and all. However, the power harvested by the Mitsubishi-brand solar panels will actually be directed to just a handful of buildings on the campus.
